We are excited to announce a new tour, Coast to Forest Jaunt-E Tour
with Jaunt-Ebikes, E- bike hire from Keyhaven near Lymington.
A retro 1980’s E chopper bike, these bikes are a head turner and will put a smile on your face. So much fun on two wheels! With a power assisted electric motor to help with a half day ride, you can just enjoy your “e-jaunt” into the Forest without too much effort.
With a demonstration on how these fun and exciting bikes work and a ride around before we head off on our tour, you will be up and running in no time at all.
The tour starts from Jaunt-Ebikes HQ and our destination is Setley Ridge in The New Forest. A 19 mile ride with stops along the way (we will be allowing 3 to 4 hours for this tour), we leave the Jaunt-Ebikes HQ behind and head out on an ancient byway which winds its way by the sea to Lymington. At the marina, there’s time for a coffee stop and an ideal opportunity to take photos and to soak up the atmosphere by the quay. We head out of town over the railway line and following the river, we come to a footbridge to cross. Over the bridge and though the village of Boldre where a quiet bridleway meanders through the forest towards Setley, where sometimes deer may be found. A stop at Daisy Tea Garden allows time for lunch, fresh coffee and cake before we start our “e-jaunt” back. On our return, we pass a small church that looks over Boldre and the quiet village of Pilley that sits at the edge of the forest. Back through Lymington and onto the byway, we head back to Jaunt-Ebikes HQ with a wonderful view of the Isle of Wight and The Needles to finish a superb ride.
